I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I gained my qualifications at the Counselling Unit of Strathclyde University in Glasgow and have been practicing since 2010. Originally from Poland, I moved to Scotland in 2006. I started my counselling career in voluntary positions, working for two charities located in Glasgow. I then began working as a telephone and online counsellor for an Employee Assistance Programme. From 2012, I have been working for a local charity in the Skye and Lochalsh area as well as developing my private practice.

I have experience in face-to-face, online and telephone-based counselling. I offer support for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, work related stress and relationship issues. I am a member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO). I abide by their code of practice and ethics.

My approach to psychotherapy is deeply rooted in the humanistic values of person-centred and emotion-focused modalities. I provide a safe environment for each client to explore their concerns by offering acceptance, respect, and empathy.  I believe one of the key purposes of psychotherapy is to increase each client’s self-awareness, which consequently aids personal growth and the fulfilment of innate potential. I am also passionate about the current findings of interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB) and its application to psychotherapy.

I believe counselling is not solely akin to my knowledge and experience but also on the relationship I develop with the client. The first step of my counselling process would be to arrange an initial session with you to assess your needs and to discuss my therapeutic approach. This introductory session would also be an opportunity for you to decide if you feel comfortable working with me. Thereafter, if we both feel comfortable with commencing counselling sessions, we would agree on a schedule aligned to your needs.

I use Zoom for psychotherapy sessions and my fee is:

£65 for up to 90 minutes session.

My qualifications:

2010 Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, Strathclyde University, Glasgow
2014 Emotion-Focused Therapy, Level 1 & 2, Strathclyde University, Glasgow
2016 Online Counselling Skills Certificate, OSCT
2021 A comprehensive course in Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Mindsight Institute
